Earth rods and their fittings are used to provide the interface to ground in all soil conditions in order to achieve satisfactory earthing systems in overhead and underground electricity distribution and transmission networks - providing high fault current capacity on low, medium and high voltage substations, towers.

If a charged ebonite rod is earthed electrons flow from earth to the ebonite rod if it is positively charged and if it is negatively charged electrons move from the rod to the earth.

Grounding rods are a critical component of electrical grounding systems. They safely dissipate fault current into the surrounding soil, helping to prevent damage to facilities and equipment and avoiding electric shock to nearby people and livestock. Grounding rods are also used to control voltage distribution underground, reducing the risk of step voltage and contact voltage.

Grounding rods are constructed from high-strength steel, allowing them to penetrate deep into the ground. We also offer UL-certified grounding rods with a copper layer thickness of at least 254 microns, ensuring adequate corrosion resistance.
